New Costco Underway in Perth's Southern Metro Area

Costco Casuarina Fuel Station Opening

In December 2022, the Costco Casuarina Fuel Station opens as part of the initial phase of the US giant’s expansion in the area. This will mark the opening of commercial activities for the Casuarina site and the 14^th Australian warehouse.

This second warehouse on Market Street, Casuarina comes after the success of the first Perth outlet which opened in 2020 on Dunreath Drive, close to Perth Airport.

Casuarina Site Development

The new Costco development, just off the Thomas Street exit off Kwinana Freeway, is certain to be welcomed by many local residents who will no doubt enjoy the benefits of bulk food and household purchasing.

For well-established beachfront locations such as Rockingham, the Casuarina development will offer residents strong employment opportunities. Surrounding townships will also benefit, such as the well-established Kwinana to the southwest of the Costco site, as well as nearby developments around Anketell.

Both are bound to see an uptick in local activity based on this development, which has been underway since 2021.

Housing Demand

Employment opportunities in a range of sectors in the area will necessitate the development of new land, which is clearly the case around Anketell, which has seen a number of new estates emerge and develop in recent years.

One estate gathering significant interest new homeowners and builders is One D Private Estate, near the Freeway's Anketell exit. This small-size release of 42 blocks is well-located and enjoying strong activity since its title release.
